Thank you to all who came by this morning! I will be back over at the church between 4:30 and 5:30 this afternoon (Wednesday). And at some yet unknown time on Thursday. One can also stop by on Sunday afternoon, after our church services; say after noon, maybe 12:30 - 1:30 pm? Please do let me know if you are coming. Invite your friends! Want the remainder of our baklava and other wonderful food items to go to "good homes" for the holidays. :-)
I will be over at the church again today, to meet some folks who want to pick up some post-festival food items. We still have Baklava, some frozen Greek foods and some marinated souvlaki skewers, ready to throw on the grill. Today (Wednesday), I will be there from 10:30 am until Noon, and later from 4:30 until 5:30 pm. Anyone else want to stop by? #InternationalFestivalRGV
Did something come up (like the weather) and prevent you from coming to the International Festival this year? Or, did you attend and loved the foods, and would like a bit more, to tide you by until next time? We still have BAKLAVA left, as well as Greek Pastitcio, Spanakopita, Tiropita and Dolmades, plus some German Bierocks in the freezers, plus a few baked goods. I will be over at the church to meet some customers tomorrow, Wednesday, between 10:30 am and Noon. Please drop by if you'd like to do a bit more shopping before we run out of everything! Sentimental moment... My father, who passed away about a year an a half ago, hand made/welded this grill and used it at his church for events, back in Colorado. He and my mother hauled it down here to S. Texas two years ago, and donated it to the church for our use here. It was put to super good use grilling up those yummy souvlaki and Polish sausages at this year's International Festival. I know dad was smiling at that. Thank you, dad! :-)
Where else in the RGV - or Anywhere else for that matter - can one eat Greek and Russian Foods, and also tag monarch butterflies at the same event? ;-)

Thank you so much, all of you hearty souls and loyal customers and volunteers who attended this year's International Festival! We appreciate each one of you and hope that you enjoyed our gift to the community as well as supporting our annual fundraising event. We do have some of our baked goods and frozen items still available, including some baklava. If you are interested,send us a note and we can arrange to meet you at the church. We found a few last Piroghies and Cabbage rolls in one of the freezers, plus still have some German Bierocks, Spanakopita (with spinach and feta), Tiropita, (potato and feta), Pastitcio (Greek pasta) and Dolmadas (stuffed grape leaves).
